* * * Frank Moore, artist, AIDS activist and visionary, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at 48, after living triumphantly for 17 years with HIV/AIDS. Frank was a great friend and remarkable man who gave the world great vision through his art and necessary change through his activism. A popular and critical success as a painter, Moore described his work as a journal of his long battle with HIV. In recent years, his paintings increasingly grappled with issues of environmental degradation and bioethics. His friendship, integrity, and wisdom continue to guide us. april 25, 2002 * * *
